The WPO module included in the MBS Dev Wholesale Distribution Suite (WDS) for Microsoft Dynamics™ AX allows companies to take their warehouses to the next level by leveraging the standard Microsoft Dynamics™ AX Warehouse Management solution and enhancing it with user-specific workflow and performance measures to ensure that distributors are getting maximum efficiency out of their warehouses.

For example the WPO module gives warehouse personnel the ability to control the inbound and outbound order flow to the warehouse and handle user-specific requirements such as next day deliveries, special attention customers and shipments that have specific time schedules. Order flow into picking lanes allows the warehouse to provide customer-specific service levels and the WPO can monitor the number of lines per lane in real-time allowing the warehouse to react to spikes and dips as they occur.

All of the functionality of the WPO is built into user-defined workflows that are delivered to each functional area as a “Workstation”. These workstations allow a company to rapidly train warehouse personnel and keep them focused on their specific work tasks to be performed.
